Coffee Chat · Having My Best Summer Yet

It's the last summer of my 20s and I'm on a mission to make it my personal best summer yet. For the sake of this series, we're counting summer as Memorial Day (May 29th) - Labor Day (Sept. 4th).

I have a small checklist of some things I want to accomplish personally and some loose ends to tie up, but the main goal of this summer is to take the best care of myself, make the best choices for my future self, and make the most out of the summer time.

Taking the Best Care of Myself

After spending a few days out of town, I came back ready for a fresh start. I started to feel overwhelmed and in a slump during these last two or so months and taking a short break from that, away from home, was much needed. Taking a full week off of work after a bit of a mess of my debut as account manager didn't hurt either. Setting myself up for the second half of the year, I want to take the best care of myself for the next three months and here's a bit of the blueprint.

· Move my body every day

· Develop a morning routine

· Develop a night time routine

· Keep my space clean

· Declutter and (re)pack things in my home

Making the Best Choices for my Future Self

I think everybody experiences that post-vacation slump where you come home and it's 'back to the mundane.' While I believe that's going to be inevitable whilst living the corporate girl life, I want to put myself in a position where I look forward to each day after the summer. In my blog bio, I say I'm trying to slow things down a little bit and I think by taking a step to evaluate what makes me feel good and what makes me feel bad, I can make big steps for myself for the future.

However, small steps are still steps.

· Save $1k by the end of summer

· Look into the next steps of my career/potential career change

· Work on that novel

· Develop a cleaning routine

· If I can finish something, just finish it

Make the Most Out of Summer

This one isn't equipped with bullet points because I don't have a structure for all of the things I want to do this summer, but I want to do so many different summertime things every chance I get. We have kicked the season off with a visit to the state park and a water park that I have yet to post about. Even if it's just staying home and soaking up some rays, I want this to feel like the most summer-y summer yet.

Thank you all for reading. I hope you'll stick around to follow what the next few months have in store.
