Hi everybody :)

I was thinking instead of doing Blogmas for an entire month (since I can't even post one day a week LOL), I'd do one post a day for a week. Some of them are holiday related, some of them are just drafts to start my 2021 on a clean slate.

This is day one, Monday 12/7, and I'm posting about my two new tattoos. I have been trying to get into a shop to get the tattoo on the back of my neck covered up, but it's so hard to get a cover-up when you can't go into a shop for a consultation. So, I thought to get my foot in the door, I would get these two done.

On the left is my grandma's signature. In 2015, my grandma passed away in September and my birthday is in October. She had my card written out, so I wanted to get that signature tattooed on me because it's been five years.

While I was in the shop...

I brought my graduation card my mom had written out when I finished college and decided on her signature opposite my grandma's. I'll take a better photo once they are both healed, but I am in love with them. They're my first tattoos visible on my arms, and they make everyone in my family smile when they see my grandma's signature.

While I was in the shop, I spoke to the artist about the back of my neck and am going to make a follow-up appointment in the new year to have it covered up. The work he does is so unique and I think whatever he has in mind for the cover-up would be really cool. I'm also very open to it because I don't know a whole lot about tattoo cover-ups, like if they need to be a certain color or size or print. I'm giving him a lot of creative freedom with it and he has a photo of it. I feel confident in him to do a great job, and I look forward to seeing if I can make him ~my artist~ since the one who did my chest piece moved an hour and a half away.
