The Front Bottoms have been one of my favorite bands for about three years. This was my second time seeing them when they came Back on Tour. Prior to the show, I'd never heard of the opening acts, but I loved both of them. It was a refreshing juxtaposition to the slower acts from their show last November.
Diet Cig was incredible. Alex is such a cutie and she jumps around and had such a good on-stage presence. She told a story about the bands being trapped in an elevator. Her and Noah definitely set the vibrant, high-energy mood for the duration of the show.
Next was Brick + Mortar whose show had a theme of not being afraid of death. Death came out and we defeated Death together. They're typically a duo, but they had a third guy working with the laptop to organize the background images and dress in costumes to add to the show. Definitely a good follow-up to Diet Cig to keep the energy lively.
They wouldn't allow cameras at the Rave, so this is the best I could do.
